Under the first female direction, the ensemble shines on the national and international stage, becoming a worthy ambassador of the Hasian heritage.

Has, the cradle of a vibrant and rich cultural life, filled with traditions that are carefully inherited from generation to generation. In the heart of this region, Has folklore, song and dance are fanatically preserved, appearing in festivals, concerts and a multitude of activities. In this energetic cultural landscape, the “Pjetër Bogdani” Ensemble of Has stands out as one of the brightest stars.
Since September 2023, the ensemble has been led for the first time by a woman, Ms. Flutura Aliaj, thus marking a historic moment for the cultural life of the region. Under her passionate and focused leadership, the ensemble has undergone a rapid metamorphosis, achieving excellent results and being continuously honored with prestigious awards.

The year 2024 continued at an unbeatable pace. In May, the ensemble won First Place and the “Malësori” award at the “Hasi Jehon” festival in Gjonaj, Kosovo. This success was added to in March 2025 by the “Qyteti North Star” award at the festival of the same name in Debar.
The summer of 2025 brought a new bouquet of victories. In August, the ensemble was honored with first place at the Folklore Typological Dance Festival in Lushnja. The peak of the achievements came in September 2025, at the “Zani i Kombit” Festival in Komoran, Kosovo, where “Pjetër Bogdani” conquered the stage, being awarded three major awards: “The Most Complete Group”, “The Best Instrumentalist” (for Perparim Brati) and “The Best Performer” (for Fahrie Tutaj).
A particularly important moment was the realization of the “Hasjane Wedding” in August, an ambitious project where all the traditional rites and customs of the region were presented in a lively way. These multiple achievements have transformed the “Pjetër Bogdani” Ensemble into a worthy ambassador of Hasjane culture and national heritage. For all these successes, there has been continuous support from the local government, the Has Municipality, with the tireless work of the working group and various sponsors.
NEW INITIATIVES
Another major project is the “Hasjane Wedding”, which aims to be included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. A performance of this wedding is also planned in London, the city where most of the Hasjane diaspora lives.
Another symbol of national pride being prepared for next year is the “Plis Festival.” Alongside these activities, important cultural infrastructure projects are also planned, such as the reconstruction of the former Boarding School museum and the reconstruction of traditional towers, which represent a precious part of the historical heritage of the province.
To make all these initiatives a reality and to give Has the place it deserves on the national and international cultural map, full financial support is required, both from the central government and from various partners and donors.
