At a time when many young people dream of unformed perseverance, the story of Adisa Dauti from Hasi stands as a bright and rare light. Her path is a testament to the power of will and the impenetrable desire to move forward. Adisa’s desire to work and create is not a temporary feeling, but a daily discipline that she has cultivated from a very young age. Her concrete project, “Art BY DISA”, began when she was only 14 years old, an age when most young people are still searching for themselves.
"I just finished high school and am now preparing to start my higher studies in Tirana, at UMT. In addition to the desire to become part of the medical field, I also have a passion that accompanied me since adolescence and that today has turned into my business, the resin business, "Art BY DISA". It all started four years ago, when I was only 14 years old. One afternoon I was watching videos with my sister and we saw some resin works that amazed me. I thought: why not try it too? There was no one in Has who did something like this and this seems like an opportunity to bring something different," says Adisa to Diaspora Hasi.
This was the first spark of a concrete project. It didn't stay in the idea. She started with few materials and an extraordinary determination. Today, four years later, she creates an entire universe of unique objects: from personal gifts and sophisticated accessories to expressive home decorations, all tailored to the style and specific desires of each client. Each of her works is a story enclosed in an object; with colors that speak, with natural elements like dried flowers that bring an authentic scent and with glittering particles that catch the light, symbolizing the spark of her creativity.
“I started with few materials and a lot of curiosity. Today I create unique objects, personal gifts, accessories, home decor, everything that can be adapted to each person's style and desire. Each piece is special: with colors, with natural elements and with details that carry a story within them. Resin is a transparent material that hardens and turns into a solid form, like crystal. I mix it with colors, pieces of dried flowers, small shiny particles, then cast it into different shapes of pendants, key holders, small trays, home decor. After a few hours or even days of drying, I sand and polish it until it looks smooth and shiny. Each piece is unique, because the colors and ingredients never come out the same,” the girl from Hasi further expresses.
Her work process is not simple and requires extraordinary patience. She mixes resin, a transparent material that hardens like crystal, with colors and decorative elements, casts it into different shapes and carefully cuts it until it takes the desired shape. Then, with patience, she polishes and polishes each piece until it reaches a perfect shine. Over time, her clients have not only been from Hasi, but have come from all over Albania, from Kukës and Tirana, and even from Kosovo. The fact that her creations have traveled and managed to bring joy to people in different countries is what gives true meaning to her work and motivates her to move forward.
"Over the years I have had clients not only from Has, but also from Kukës, Tirana and Kosovo. I am happy that my creations have traveled to different countries and brought joy to people."
But for Adisa, this is just the beginning. She never stops and always has a new concrete project on the horizon. Among the next steps she wants to take is the creation of a physical creative space. She dreams of a place where young people from Has and beyond can come, try and learn this unique art. Her desire is not only to sell, but to share knowledge, create a community and inspire others.
“Among the steps I want to take in the future is to create a space where young people can learn this type of art. I want to open a creative space where young people can come, try and learn this art for themselves. I want to bring new collections, collaborate with craft shops and participate in fairs and events where my work can be more widely known.”
Although she shares a close bond with Hasi, she admits that it wasn't easy to develop something so innovative in an environment with limited opportunities. But it was precisely these challenges that made her stronger.
"Although I love Hasin very much, it is not always easy to develop something new here. But this very challenge has taught me to be persistent, to find solutions and to believe in myself. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share this journey, it is just the beginning of a journey that I hope will grow with me."
Talent Hasjan builds success little by little, every day, with her own hands, leaving a clear and inspiring mark on all young people who believe that with work and concrete projects, every dream is within reach. This is just the beginning of a beautiful journey that promises to grow with her.
